The November issue of the City of Bellevue’s Neighborhood News is out and there’s a great article in it about the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Mini City Hall located in Crossroads Mall. Also, please take a minute to review the last page which lists a calendar of city meetings for the month of November including the East Bellevue Community Council meeting this coming Tuesday, November 4th – 6:30pm at the Lake Hills Clubhouse. The council will have a representative from the Washington State Department of Transportation talking about possible new tolling and HOV lanes on 405 through Bellevue. Should be an interesting meeting!
The Bellevue Aquatic Center has been closed for a few weeks for some annual TLC. They are celebrating their Grand Re-Opening this coming Saturday, Sept 20th with a FREE SWIMMING DAY! Lots of fun activities to choose from around East Bellevue this coming weekend including the Neighborhood Fair at Church of the Resurrection on Main Street from 10:00-4:00 on Saturday. East Bellevue Bulletin will have a booth there promoting the blog so we hope you’ll stop by, say hello and find out more about our plans for the future! You’ll also be able to visit with many other local businesses and groups as well as participate in fun family & kids activities and even grab a snack. Hope to see you there!
This week’s Thursday night Movie in the Park at Crossroads is Monster’s University! Family Fun Activities start at 7:30 with the movie beginning at dusk!
Also this week is another great movie event sponsored by the Bellevue YMCA and Highland Community Center. On Friday, August 22nd starting at 6pm you are invited to celebrate superheros at a free screening of “The Incredibles” at Highland Community Park, 14224 Bel-Red Road.
The event will provide opportunities to meet Bellevue Fire and Police heroes and participate in pre-movie activities including sac races, game shows, mini golf, arts & crafts, face painting and more – for superheros of all ages!
Bring blankets and chairs, enjoy the activities then settle in for the movie to begin around 8:30 on a 16-foot screen. Admission is free and free popcorn will be provided by Regal Bella Bottega.

Did you know Crossroads Bellevue has Movies in the Park? The first one- Walking with Dinosaurs – is tomorrow night, Thursday 8/7! Family activities start at 7:30 and the movie begins at dusk. The fun continues each Thursday evening thru August.
Mark your calendars for Tuesday August 5th when the city of Bellevue will be hosting it’s National Night Out Party during the Crossroads Farmers Market from noon to 6pm. Stop by the market (located in the east parking lot area of the mall) for lots of fun including kids prizes, safety information, entertainment, food and more. Get to meet Bellevue Police and Fire officials and learn about crime prevention in our neighborhoods!
